Hi, welcome to my world. My name is Lynette Michelle Osler(Lynn). I live in a not so small anymore town in Pennsylvania called Chambersburg. Not much here to me, but others say it is a great place to visit, I have been here my whole life, so it isn't much to me I guess, BUT I don't really want to leave, go figure... lol. I was born on June 22, 1968. When I was a year old we moved to Delaware, when I was 4 we moved back and here I have been ever since. My mother and father divorced when I was 4 and haven't really spoken since. They both got remarried and divorced and remarried again, I gained 3 brothers,3 sisters and 3 foster brothers. I am the second of all those kids, I have an older sister. I only have ONE blood sister who is only half and was born 12 years after me.
I have 2 best friends, Betsy and Kathy who know me better than ANYONE! Betsy and I have been friends since Kindergarden, we got separated for 4 years but were reunited in 6th grade. Kathy came along in 6th grade and made us a trio. After 10 years of friendship, Kathy and I found out that we were cousins, ironic, don'cha thing? As I was growing up, I spent alot of time with my Grandmother, my father's mother died when I was 6, so I didn't really know her that well. I barely remember her actually, which is really sad cause we were close when I was little from what I have been told. My father's only brother moved away and doesn't keep in contact with his family either, I haven't seen him in more then 10 years now.
I am very close to my Mother's family, we are scattered, but still have our get togethers and our family outings... however my Grandmother died on January 20, 1999. I was really hoping that she would live to see the turn of the century, but she just missed it. I graduated high school in 1986 from Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS) and basically was one of those kids who did nothing with life. I hung out with friends and had fun. I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I didn't want to go to school for the rest of my life. I really hated school when I was in it and I really didn't want to go back. Now looking back, I really wish that I would have done SOMETHING with my life, but I did nothing. However, last year I studied and passed the test for the PA Insurance License to become a Life and Health Insurance Agent, then I went further and passed the Property and Casualty test. Now my goal is to take the classes necessary to aquire my Series 6 & 7 licenses for financial advisor. The test alone is a 7 hour test. Can I do it? Sure I can, why can't I?
I got married in 1991 and divorced in 2000. We were separated for 2 years before we got our divorce, if not for my kids, I would say that was the worst thing I had ever done, BUT then I wouldn't have my kids, so I can't really say it was the WORSE thing, but then again, nobody is perfect right?
In April of 1999, I was diagnosed with "Hodgkin's Disease" it was caught early and I have been in remission since early 2000! I had to undergo Chemotherapy (NASTY, NASTY STUFF) and Radiation (much better). In January of 2005, I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, and declared terminal, as they said my cancer had come back, only for the doctors to look again 6 months later and say they were wrong. I am still here and I have hopes and dreams just like everyone else, so I make the best of each day I am given, and journey through life a day at a time. I think the main goal I have right now is to raise my kids. I want THEM to grow up and make something of THEMSELVES, ya know, like I DIDN'T do?
In 2006 I started pursuing my ultimate dream! To sing on a stage in front of an audience. I have been singing most of my life, but I had major stage fright. I finally got over that! I have met some AWESOME people out there in the world. Those people are my fans. And everytime I go out to sing, my fan club grows! Thanks to all of those who love my voice and who support me in my adventures! |
