I recently took a trip to Maggie Valley, North Carolina! Set in the heart of the Smokey Mountains! My sole purpose for this trip was to attend a wedding. The wedding was for some friends of Walter's who has become friends of mine, and I am proud to be apart of that. These people are AWESOME people! Anywho... it turned out to be a great trip with lots of things to see that I never knew existed!

Although I didn't see any Elk, this is a water tower.

I thought the Town Hall was pretty too.

We stayed at the "Ramada Limited" hotel along Route 19. It was set in front of a creek, and the backside of the hotel had a creekside view. We were fortunate enough to get one of these backside rooms, and it was GORGEOUS!

Even the lobby was pretty, with a fireplace, which is something that I just LOVE!

Below are some really nice pictures taken in North Carolina! We travelled pretty far, from the Georgia state line to the Tennessee state line, so we saw ALOT. Of course, I am not going to post ALL the pictures, but I was snap happy and we have ALOT of good ones to post on this page.... hope you enjoy them.

Lots of Gem shops around.

Didn't go in here, but looked to be like a square dance hall.

This landscape scene was among many that we saw,
but this was by far one of the most beautiful ones!

Settled upon the hills were many nice looking homes.
I think that it would be great to live here, overlooking the
Smokey Mountains!

This is a lookout that can be used to take pictures,
however, it wasn't opened, so we didn't get to go up in it.

We drove up into Cherokee, which was about 20 miles or so from where we were.
